Ghost in the Shell: LIVE ACTION

How many anime have we heard Hollywood making into live action movies? Monster, Evangelion, Battle Angel just to name a few. How many have we actual seen realized? None. So I'm not holding my breath for this one. Though the fact that Ghost in the Shell was one of the major influences behind the Matrix trilogy might help to generate some popular interest.

From Anime News Serivce:

Production I.G has announced they have secured a deal to act as an agent and actively begin putting things into place to make a Live Action Ghost In The Shell film come together in Hollywood, USA. The studio had to first work out a deal with creator Masamune Shiro and manga publisher Kodansha who owns the original rights to usage.
